She's still with me for now, but I do have an update
I've been in contact with the rescue that roxanne put me in contact with. They're working on placing her in a foster home. She should be placed sometime within the next few days. We talked for a long time about her, puppy mill dogs, what her life's been like, what she does good with, etc.
She's looking for a foster home with at least one "stay at home parent" - I told her how great Angel did when I was here with her all day, and how she's really not doing quite as well when we have to leave her all day. She gets depressed, and she freaks if you put her in the kennel. I also told her all about her potty training and that she's not totally potty trained yet, but if someone's there to take her out, she goes.
They are also going to get her fixed and do her dental work. I explained my sittuation and what all we've done for her. I told her that we've spent over $300 that we really didn't have anyway, and I apologized for not being able to follow through and finish getting her ready for a permanent home. She seemed to understand.
We talked about her rescue organization, too. It sounds like the place I want to turn Angel over to. They don't keep dogs in cages, which is a big thing for me. I've had several rescue places say they'd take her... because they had a cage her size. As you can see, I still have her

My theory is that she's lived enough of her life in a cage, and she's getting to experience real life now. Why take that away from her? And besides, I've had her a few weeks now and no one wants her, what makes them think she'll go home within a few days and that a "cage is ok for a short time like that"? I think it's inhumane. Anyway

I know that's my personal opinion, but I'm too convicted to turn Angel over to life in a cage.
So this rescue organization places all dogs in foster homes and lets the dog live with families. I explained that Angel's a puppy mill dog and that yeah, she's doing really well, but she still needs TLC. They're going to try to put her with someone who has experience in puppy mill rescues (unlike me, until now lol)

Maybe, just maybe, she'll get what she deserves. Finally.
