We use Merrick canned. I don't know the source of that article or the bias of it. I can only read the ingredient label on my Wingaling and IF there was anything rendered in it then would have to list that on the label. Plus, if you've ever seen a can of Wingaling - it's whole chicken wings with the bones. I highly doubt they are making rendered animal LOOK like chicken wings. If it was a loaf product I would be concerned.
I agree that home cooked is best and I do feed them whatever we are having as long as it's appropriate. Also, with all the recalls it may be best not to feed your dog the same thing (kibble OR canned) for every meal every day, so that if there is something wrong with the product they don't eat a whole bag of it before we know. |
