Default Got The Solution.

Ginger's mom. The same problem happened to me from the beach. My Yorkies NEVER had fleas and then I took Newman to the beach. He was loaded with sand fleas. Like you I could not treat him that soon. This is what you do. Get Johnson's baby shampoo. Put him in the sink and fill it with warm water all the way up to his neck as far as you can go without drowning him. Let him sit like that with you for about five minutes if he'll last that long without jumping out. After, you want to rinse him with your sink hose, rinse him thouroughly through his fir. Next, take the shampoo and use a lot rub it all over him until he's completely covered in suds, then take a warm towel and wrap it around him to keep him warm and he has to keep this on like this for atleast five minutes. Last, rinse him throughly again as you did and this should do it. You may have to repeat it again the next day. I did this not only with Newman but with my Bella when I first got her four years ago. She was infested with fleas and too young to treat. It worked like a charm. Just for your own info. Frontline or any of that flea preventative DOES NOT WORK when it comes to the beach. They are loaded there and it's so bad that nothing seems to keep them off your dog. Good luck. Elaine
