I do not heat the room any different then what makes us comfortable winter an summer. I use a heating pad under the box, not in it and that works best for my pups. The temp of the box bedding is what is important, not he room temp..but you do what is best for you. I have used the heating disc's you put in the microwave and they are wonderful.
