We have a Chi/Yorkie mix I adopted from the shelter for my mom.
The best thing was I already knew the dogs temperment, which you can somewhat tell from puppyhood but really isn't set until adulthood. She was already potty trained (woohoo!), and she had already gone through the puppyhood stage of chewing and tearing up stuff. |
