You guys should be just fine... at least Lola is playing with him a little... Last year I brought my Lola into Toby's life -- and I seriously thought I would have to give her back. He would not hardly look at her -- and wouldn't give me any loves either. He was just mad! Toby was 5 years old -- and I just gave him the first attention when I got home -- when they got a treat -- he got the first one, and I also gave him special cuddle time. (I still do all these after about 9 months) It took a couple weeks before he would start playing... and now, they go at it all the time! He's frantic when he can't see her (at the groomers) but settles down when they bring her back into his sight. It was the best thing that I ever did for Toby -- but for that first couple of weeks, I thought I'd done the wrong thing!
Just give your Lola lots of loves... give her treats and pets first... and let her know that she's your special girl! Let us know in a couple of weeks how it's going!!! I bet they'll be best friends soon! |
