Hi Paula - I'm not going to tell you you're being paranoid, because most of us are this way. I hope it isn't what you're thinking. Kacee has always been one to be found sleeping in odd places. Not so much anymore, but when she was a puppy. If someone left a closet open for a few minutes then she would go in there and go to sleep. When they closed the closet door, they didn't know she was in there. I'd miss her and go on a hunt through the whole house trying to find her. Just yesterday I missed her and after looking through the whole house I found her sound asleep in a guest bedroom.
