Thank you for everyone who answered my question. I respect everyones opinion and I enjoyed reading them. I got GiGi for me. I love her and I will always try to be there for her. (god willing, I dont really have the final say in that) I wonder if I should ask the other spectrum of the question. What about older people? My mom ran a stray rescue shelter and I can not even put a number on how many small dogs (usually older) were brought in because their owners died. It was so hard to adopt these dogs out and they were not suited to be in the kennel situation. Luckily we had foster families (mine included) My mother retired from the kennel business last year so I really had the time and the energy to get the dog I WANTED.. Any way... Thank you again. I appreciate everyone..to Donna Jean- THANK you for the information. I by no means found you insulting or negative, just informative and very concerned for your babies. THERE IS NEVER ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. YorkieTime- Your son is so cute!
