i do that hairspray thing too!!! works really well for moths and flies too ...sorry i can't stand any kind of bug ....
one time there was this spider in our laundry room in taiwan, literally the size of my hand .. it was HUGE!! and only my mom and i were home, my dad just had to be away on business that weekend .. we both locked the doors, screamed and ran away. but i couldn't stand the idea that a spider was in the next room and the only thing separating me and the spider was a window and my bathroom .. so me had this FABOLOUS idea, lets use water and drown it, or at least flush the spider down the drain ... well that idea didn't work on the spider, it just ended up soaking EVERYTHING in the room, even the clean laundry. haha. so we had to wait til my dad got home 2 days later!!!!!
