Default Need advice-he's sleeping in odd places

I've been watching Otis for a week now for liver symptoms. I posted earlier this week on that and got some great info. He has an appt this friday for the bile acid test. In the last couple of days I've found him sleeping in places he's never slept in before... Between the toilet and the bathtub, and in the back of the closet, also, he hasn't spent much time in the family room with me and Oliver, he goes back to the bedroom. Has anyone had experience with this? My neighbor told me to leave him alone and quit staring at him. She thinks I'm being paranoid because I lost a dog a few years ago to liver shunt. I had a terrible vet that misdiagnosed him. If I'd had this forum back then, I might have been able to save him. I'm definately having the blood test and I bought some Science diet supposedly "low protein" food to mix in with his pedigree food. I'd appreciate some input. Thanks guys.
