That's not fun opening up something with a critter in it but I heard they love glue and stuff like that. I remember an apartment I lived in ...I had to throw out all my phone books cause they were so attracted to them. I did not know roaches could fly!!! Are you serious? Anyway, yes, I know they can live on glue from boxes, paper bags...etc...and God forbid that it may have been pregnant...GET RID OF IT...Don't keep it any where near your home...KILL IT...NOW!!!
