I did a search but nothing came up...
Has anyone used a pet sitter in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area? We are driving up and staying overnight in Chattanooga one night to cut our trip into segments and we will only have a three hour drive to the area the next day. Our cabin won't be ready until 4 p.m. and we'd like to spend some of that time shopping. Our cabin is pet friendly, but I don't know about other places to go that allow pets.
We are considering using a sitter service that afternoon until we can check into our cabin. Chloe kennels for four hours or so at a time while we are working, so she'll be ok at the cabin for short periods of time, once we are checked in. We can't bear to leave her kenneled at the vet. She was so SAD the last time we did that (just for overnight).
I won't consider leaving her in the car...not even just to run in a store. I would be worried about her overheating or someone taking her. NOT AN OPTION!
I did a search and it showed Petsmart (not crazy about that idea), another kennel with chain link fenced off areas. I found this one website that looks great, but I have a couple of questions...
1. Has anyone used this service or another one they can recommend?

2. I'm nervous because it seems to be kind of an open layout and Chole is an "only furkid". I"m not sure how she will do with other dogs, and she is only 5 pounds or so, so she's small IMO (I know there are a lot smaller dogs

) Plus, it's very stressful considering leaving my baby with someone I don't know!!!
We are only staying three days, and I hate to waste an afternoon. Suggestions about sitters or pet-friendly things to do in the area?
One last thing...she's always ridden fine in the car, but never for that long. Should I take something for motion sickness for her, just in case?? and is so, what?
TIA
