Good luck. I'm afraid that I can totally relate; if I didn't go behind my husband's back I would not have the babies I have now. When I brought the pups home; I just stated that this is what I want, I'm an adult, and I certainly will be the primary care giver of this animal. Then I let nature take its course, normally my husband falls in love with the dog. Now everytime we have a fight he throws it in my face. But hey, he doesn't ask me when he buys tools and junk/parts cars (he's a mechanic). . . Also I am an adult, and I don't try and get anyone to train or take care of my dogs unless they choose to.
Also when I try to discuss things like this, my husband has the habit of acting as though I'm asking permission. I'm not, lol, I do what I want, and as long as it doesn't hurt or put undue work and pressure on another member of the family. . . well, I'm pretty open minded about what the other adults (in my family) wish and/or want. . . |
