Before you spend a ton of money on those CTscans and all that stuff. Ask the vet to do a bile acid test...It costs about $40 and will let you know if the seizures are being caused because of a liver shunt or condition...Many yorkies have been popping up with this disease and seizures are a symptom of it. Also, I strongly advise against phenobarbitol being used on a long-term basis for seizures because it will ruin the dogs liver and you'll end up with more problems. I have read that potassium bromide is much safer. Please keep us updated on your baby's condition. You must have been scared out of your mind!!! Take care of yourself, and be strong for her.
