Do I understand correctly, your little guy is a year and a half, and you just recently got him, and he had the problem when you got him?
Did you get him from a breeder or a pet store?
When they get a skin infection they do smell bad. there are two forms of mange, one is treatable, the other is very difficult to treat. I would ask the vet for more information. did they do a skin scraping to determine what he has?

My concern with one so small would be what harm all those chemicals are doing to him. |
