My first yorkie, a rescue, was plagued with yeast infections in the ears and once, even in his paws. It takes diligence and patience. As for figuring out what they're allergic to, good luck. It can be anything. I would give Chester Benadryl (prescribed by the vet), along with following up immediately after any medications were completed. We finally got a handle on it. When he had it in his paws, I spent big bucks at an ER vet with no results. I finally called my old country vet where I had lived previously. She recommended one part bleach to nine parts water and dipping his feet in it. Did it once and it was gone. Unfortunately, you can't do this to their ears or larger body parts.

Hang in there, it will get better.
