Interesting. My first thought would be that they would be devastated without me, but then I thought about the past two years. Me and hubby went away for 2 weeks at a time in the past 2 years.
My Stepdad babysat Roxy and TJ. He and my Mom have 2 Yorkies as well. But he was the only one here on the East coast watching Roxy and TJ. The first day was rough for them, but after one day, he said they were fine. That ate, slept, played, walked, peed and pooped. So, I have no doubt in my mind that with the 'right' caretaker to provide all the love that I do, Roxy and TJ would adjust rather quickly (within a year) without me.
I pray to God that this never has to be though
