i give mine(mothers) the 'whelping pudding" the whole time they are nursing until babies start to eat. The recipe is one large box of vanilla pudding 9cooking kind0, four cupss milk, four egg yolks, 1/2 cup sugar. cook slowley till it thickens. Most of them love this, if they don't feed it with a syringe. They only get this once a day. You can go with the smaller box of pudding and cut the rest of the recipe in half. In the mornings, I give a little wet food with about a tablespoon of cottage cheese mixed in. make sure you have her on puppy food. you can also see if she will take a little plain vanilla yogurt. Also I have given mine one teaspoon of dark beer but only ommediately after whelping. i'm sure there will be other suggestions for you that are just as good as mine. good luck.
