Did the pup act like this ("depressed") when you went to visit..before you brought him home???
If not, he may just be a little stressed about the changes in his life....take some time and be calm and gentle...nothing too rought or stimulating....
But...if he did act a bit quiet / depressed while back with mom he needs to be chaecked closely. How big is he?? Does he have a 'molera'....a small "soft spot" on the top of his head????? Some small pups have this and it is no concern...but the 'molera' can indicate hydrocephalus and this condition can cause seizures.....
DITTO the eating instructions from everyone...and really push him to drink.... and if he does not improve SIGNIFICANTLY some time soon you should return to the vet ...or if this vet doesn't seem concerned..find another vet. No matter what...seizures are serious and should be investigated !!!
