Okay, we just got back from Savannah/Tybee/Hilton Head and have some info about traveling with yorkies.

1. Found a great cottage to rent from Mermaid Rentals on Tybee Island complete with fenced in back yard for the yorkies. So much easier than staying in a hotel with them.

Drawback: The beach on Tybee is not dog friendly, however, there is a fenced, off leash dog park on the island.

2. Many Savannah restaurants have outdoor seating and welcome your pooch...also down along river street many of the shops are dog friendly.

3. There are many parks in Savannah that are great for an outing with the pooch.

4. The beaches on Hilton Head allow dogs. All day in the off season, before 10 and after 4 between memorial day and labor day.
