I completely agree that dogs can do things out of spite OR you can say they do something because they are mad at you. However you want to look at it.

I had a cocker spaniel and when I would get onto him for something he would go and chew MY sago palm AND when my husband got onto him he would go and leave a big health on our hot tub cover. (The hot tub was in the ground so he could walk on the cover). He NEVER did either of these unless he got in trouble for something. BRAT

Cody (my teapot Yorkie) will hide from me when it is bed time. He does this on purpose. He can tell when we are winding down and getting ready for bed. So he hides, every single night we have to go through this. He will NOT come when you call him.
