I agree with what everyone else says about training your dog, but I would add that you really, really, really need to teach your kids not to allow the dogs to run outside. If they are old enough to open the door and have the sense not to run in traffic themselves, they are old enough to know that dogs are not allowed outside unleashed.

I apologize if it sounds like I'm lecturing, but I truly believe that families with kids who choose to own Yorkies have an added responsibility to teach their kids to protect the Yorkies.
