Yorkie puppie want to be with you ALL the time,now we know that is not possible but it sounds like you are there when he is being locked in a small room, so I have to ask why? I am confused by your post, it sounds like you are frustrated with this little puppy because he wants to be with you when you are in the house. I think if I locked my 3 yr old in a small room away from me he would not just yelp but try to tear the door down. Maybe you could invest in an ex pen and he can be able to see you at least. That way if you are doing something he will still be with you and you dont have to worry about him.
As far as the biting goes, he is a puppy, give him something else to chew on when he does it. I do not understand all these posts on biting yorkies anyway, they are puppies , all puppies play bite that doesn't mean they are going to grow up to be a biting adult, they are PLAYING. I do not encourage biting but all my dogs play bit as puppies and do not ever bite me or anyone else as adults. Watch a litter of puppies, thats how they play with each other. I do not think it is a reason for punishment.
