Ok, moose is our first "little" dog and first ever to let on the furniture or bed. He is 10# 1 oz and 8 1/2 months. We just got a new mattress two days ago and I am really stressing out on him "jumping" off our bed. It is 34-35 inches high. We have doggie steps that he uses to get up on the bed, but he WON'T use them to get off. He thinks he is superman... (flies thru the air before he lands). Our old bed wasn't this high and I didn't mind. I am so worried that he will hurt himself over time. What do you think???

that's about my oscars size and he's been jumping off the bed since we got him. I tried my best when he was a little puppy (he was almost 3lbs when we got him)to get him to go down the ramp we built for him but no thank you he'd rather jump. he landed on his head more than a few times but it never knocked any sense into him.

You'll have to see what some ppl who have smaller furbabies have to say but I would think that at his size it wouldn't be as much of a worry as with the tinys.
