Please don't take this wrong - but why is he in a small room by HIMSELF ? You said YET another problem ? It kind of sounds like you're not loving your baby too much - When we get puppies - they need LOTS of attention and patience...and love....especially LOVE.
It sounds like he's starved for attention - have you tried playing with him - making sure he has lots of toys and maybe something to chew on (make sure you watch him while he has it) and possibly talking to him.... and letting him be around you ? I've always talked to mine and I love it when they talk to me....
Yorkies LOVE us and want to be with us - I think 7 months old being confined in a small room is a GOOD reason to yelp - I don't consider being lonely RUDE....I think he's calling for you and needs attention.....Can you let him out of there ?
As far as the biting - HE IS A PUPPY - that's what they do. He'll grow out of it - replace your hands with a toy and it may help with that but holding his nose seems a little harsh.
