I was just reading a segment on dogs w/out tags or license & local laws... I was appalled that it appears if you live in Maryland or Kentucky & your dog gets loose & if the sheriff can't catch the dog he can shoot the dog on the spot....Mississippi, if there are no tags & is loose when the dog is taken in to the shelter it WILL be euthanized....I had no idea that most states allow dogs that are in shelters, whether from owner surrender or seized, or caught out loose , the shelter has the right to put the dog up for adoption, euthanize or sell to a research facility...I had no idea they sold dogs for research...
