I have a Bichon who has had terrible itchies in the past. I give him cherry children's benadryl chewable tablets and he chews them right up. He hasn't had bad itchies for a long time, but still scratches now and then. I took him outside yesterday right after the lawn was mowed and he was scratching a little this morning. I powdered him good with Good Bond medicated powder and gave him a benadryl tablet. He's fine now.
