Hey V - love your scarecrow, or should I say scaremonkey. I am going to start my 1st veggie garden in years today. My FIL had one about 15 yrs ago that took up his entire back yard. He had had a heart attack and triple bypass surgery. The Dr. told him to only come downstairs in the am and go up at nite. That was all the exercise he was to do or he would die. My FIL basically stuck out his tongue and worked that garden every day the entire summer. Not a weed in site. Everything you can imagine was growing in there. At least once a week when we came home from work there would be a huge box of goodies from the garden. The veggies were the tastiest I have ever had. I even learned to love some that I wouldn't touch before that. That garden kept him alive for a few more years. Mine is just going to be a small one, but I can't wait. |
