I'm very sorry to hear about your baby's illness! Addison's is very treatable. I went through tons of tests with an Endocrinologist because they thought I had that or Cushing's. Addison's means her adrenal glands ( 2 glands above her kidneys) don't produce enough Cortisol, which is a hormone that fluctuates throughout the day in a healthy person or dog. She'll have to take medicine for the rest of her life and maybe even corticosteroids (used most commonly for asthma) but with maintenance medicine it will be very easy for her to lead a normal life. Make sure and ask the doctor lots of questions, good luck and if you need anything, please let me know!
