Wylie is a fetchaholic and I truly mean it - he could fetch every minute he's awake. We taught him the command "all done". Now, we'll be fetching for a while and then we'll say "all done", he grabs his toy, lays down and mouths it. Guests really love it for some reason.
They do calm around 2 years old - but for some reason, I think fetchers just love to fetch, it is in their terrier blood after all.
