Hi,
I have 2 silkies and I went to a yorkie get together in Chicago and they looked liked huge dogs compared to the little yorkies. I guess it depends on if you were around teacup yorkies or regular ones?? Sofia is 8.5 pounds and Chloe is 10.5 pounds. And the norm for a silky is 10 pounds. Chloe is much taller, and longer and their hair is a little different for the yorkies. But even between the 2 Sofia's is much softer. I think it is possible to have a big yorkie, I have heard it before. They say that you can tell by the shape of their heads( between a yorkie and a silky, you have to google it, but even that I can not tell cause agai my 2 silks are totally different in that way too!)
