I just recently had a little pup die on me. She was very tiny which many are... but I believe she suffered from low blood sugar and didn't adjust well to moving into a new home. Low blood sugar is very common with Yorkies. I do think there is a risk getting the runt but it depends on how runty she is. The bigger the healthier sometimes. I also did research and learned that it can be best to pick the most outgoing of the bunch. Lexi was kind of outgoing but looking back she lacked a spark in her eye that I've seen in others. Yorkies as I'm sure you may know can be very high maintenance! I was not aware until Lexi, but now I know what to look for. Go with your heart if there is a lot of doubt than I would maybe choose a bigger pup.

Blessings to you and your new baby,
Heather
