We have a 8 year old boxer and now just our Holly girl
, anyway, with her and when we had Prince we have never had a problem with food and them eating. They eat the same food and I dont know if it is because she is just a good dog (which boxers are) but she has always let the little ones eat first and if she is eating and they come up she backs up and waits till they are done, you shouldnt have a big problem with it, best of luck to you.
