My Biewer, Nappy had a retained testicle (nut, pom pom, , jewel, whatever we call them now lol), when he was neutered. I found out from my vet that the farther they have to go up to find the retained testicle, the more complicated the surgery. They told me it was similar to a female spay, as far as the trauma. My first male, had a simple neuter, both pom poms were down, and he took HIS OWN stictches out after 3 days!!!! The vets were amazed at the intricate job he did!! lol But it sure freaked his mommy out
