I don't see anything wrong with her being pad trained. I pad trained Jake because we got him in the fall, and I didn't want to take him out in the winter because he was so small. Now that the weather is nicer, I've been taking him outside everyday. At first, he was scared but now he LOVES going outside to play, and he will potty outdoors.

You can still train her for outdoors if that's what you want to do. Just start by getting her used to being outside so that she's not afraid, then start moving her pad closer and closer to the door, and then take it outside with you. She will get the idea.

Don't feel bad about pad training. I'm not sorry I've pad trained. It works out best for us since we get lots of snow and cold temps in the winter. But, I do think it's important for them to be outdoors in the nice weather, and the exercise is good for them.
