Ilovebaby, we are in the same boat. my lil guy has free range of the living room, currently the kitchen (im considering putting a gate there after my parents leave) the hallway and the bathroom. thats a lot of space and his crate is located in the living room. i tried to gate him to only the hallway and he would cry in the beginning. he does sleep in the morn so im alil more assured in leaving him alone when the time comes.
