I'm so sorry for your loss, but was Carlee so bad that surgery wouldn't help. I see she was only 2. The reason I ask is Piper has had problems in the past. Her enzymes were tested high on a bile acid test. No other signs. My Vet is waiting another 6 months to do more testing. That will be in June. I called last month & they put me off until then. I just don't want to wait until they can't do anything. Maybe she is fine now, maybe not. Your story made me think. I didn't know that if I wait to long it could be to late to do anything. I was just relying on my Vet & 2 specialists advice.
