Announcing... The YorkieTalk Raffle for United Yorkie Rescue (UYR)

We all love Yorkies and that's why we're here! However, not every Yorkie is fortunate enough to have loving parents and a happy life, which is where United Yorkie Rescue comes in. They rescue Yorkies from all over, and rehome them to find them a warm, loving home. As recommended by bettyeanne and Kirby's Dad, this is an excellent organization that truly loves Yorkies and wants what's best for them.

Last year, YorkieTalk was able to raise $720.00 for United Yorkie Rescue (UYR). Link to the UYR thread:

This year, YorkieTalk will be having one BIG RAFFLE, with as many prizes as we can get, to support United Yorkie Rescue. We have gotten approval for this from United Yorkie Rescue already and they are thrilled with our idea. We are looking to raise at least $1,000 for UYR and we need your help! The more prizes we have, the more we can raise for this great organization!

All raffle ticket sales (minus Paypal fees) from this raffle will be pooled together and sent directly to UYR. YorkieTalk will make a monetary donation as well directly to UYR.

Raffle Tickets are $5 (Available from May 14, 2007 through June 15, 2007)

We already have over $1000 worth of prizes for this UYR Raffle!

To buy a raffle ticket, we take payments via Paypal. Send payment to donations@yorkietalk.com and please mention that your payment is for UYR Raffle Tickets and list your YorkieTalk username. If you'd like to make a financial donation through YorkieTalk, that is fine as well, just mention that your payment is a financial donation to UYR. We will pool the money together along with raffle ticket sales and send one check to UYR. Or you may directly donate to UYR by going to their Web site.

You may buy as many raffle tickets as you want! We will announce the winners shortly after the raffle ticket buying period is over.

If there is anything you could donate to the raffle in terms of a prize, it would be greatly appreciated (we do suggest a minimum value of $10 for each prize). We do ask that gifts be Yorkie-related. It can be a gift basket, a box of toys, Yorkie clothes, gift certificates to your store, artwork, or anything else you can think of that is related to Yorkies.

Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated!
