Dairy is okay many times as long as it is low fat or non fat, unless the dogs have allergies...For example, in my case, my dog can't have animal protein, so he has to get his protein from dairy, soy, and vegetables...It is safe if it's low or non fat and as long as your dog is not allergic.

Also, a tsp of yogurt is actually recommended.
