I had not thought of the hawks and turkey vulchers!!! I have hawks around here, that land a lot on my evergreens. I have a pet door that my dogs can go out whenever they like and they like to sit out on the deck in the sun in the afternoon!!! NOW I am afraid!! And my little Angel Baby is only under 2#. I would DEFINITELY worry about a 2 lb baby!! I have a pet door leading onto a small dog run where my babies also liked to sun themselves. After my little Tigger was taken by that hawk, I had a lattice type cover constructed over it, with old fashioned simple washing line. Is there no way you can do this, so that your little ones can still enjoy part of your deck?
