I own a Yorkie and a Maltese..........they are very different in personality. At least my two are!!! The maltese is so much calmer and more gentle than the yorkie. He is a terrier at its best!!!! She never needs a "chill pill." He has his moments of quiet time but he is much more active and plays hard and sometimes alittle aggressive (which we are working on). She plays so sweet and calmly, never aggressive. JMO with my experience with one of each!
