Just when we thought we were safe from winter moose foraging in our backyard, today there was a porcupine on top of the bird house!

It wasn't moving much, so I'm not positive Eddie knew what it was. But he definitely barked like crazy when I held him up to it and said "porcupine." Jack, of course, can't see that far, so he could care less.

I've never seen a porcupine in the city, least of all the backyard, so I'm not real happy about it. Hopefully, he won't hang out here. He did make for some good pictures, though!
