I thought I had found the food that I would keep my pets on, but they have gained a lot of weight just from being on Nature's Variety for 3 weeks!! I have one Ragdoll cat that has always had fat pockets in his tummy (this breed is prone to this) but my other Ragdoll has never had even a hint of fat pockets until we put them on Nature's Variety. I am so upset because this doesn't go away and it's not good for them. Harley, my Yorkie, already needed to lose a couple of pounds and now he is even bigger from NV. I had the dogs on Canidae and the cats were on Felidae before Nature's Variety. It did not put the weight on them, but it has the just about the same amount of protein. Any suggestions? I know it probably sounds silly, but Beauregard (my Ragdoll cat) is my baby...big time....and it upsets me that he now has fat pockets that he had never had. Any advice that you can to us, I would really appreciate.
