My dog has a what appars to be a scab on his skin. I thought maybe he got poked by a branch whe he was in the bushes. I wasn't ware that he got injured in any way.
Someone suggested it could be a tick. Does a tick always look like a smooth round ugly thing protruding from th skin? or can it look like a scab on the dog over a slightly aised area?
This area is easy to feel thirough his hair. He does not pay attention to it, he can't reach it (it's on his shoulder..if a dog has shoulders
.. And if I touch the area he does not complain.
Of course I'll go to a vet and see what it is...but how would I know if it's a tick or just a wound?
I live in Northern Wisconsin and our days are not warm yet...though we did have a few days in the 70 degree temp about a week ago.
