Well I will pick Nathan up and take him down the porch stairs to go outside and let him go ....where i live I have a large open space with nothing around so the only time I have him on a leash is when we go to petsmart or out and about away from home!! As far as in the house?? he likes to follow me around or if I am in one room, venture to another to try to get into mischief so i constantly have to keep my eye open on his whereabouts and he will usually come runnning if I call his name in that stern Mommy voice!!!
As for just carrying him? If he is unfamiliar surroundings he wants me to hold him ...if its a place he knows...he is ready to get down and go!!!
