I had Maggie's done a month or so ago...after nearly 4 years, so not to bad.

Yes they did anesthesize her to do the procedure. And, yes they did do full blood work on her prior to anesthesizing her.

I don't necessarily think it's something which needs done yearly. The vet does, however, need check the status. Yorkies have a REAL problem (as a breed) with tooth loss due to decay. (The teeth are just so little, it really doesn't take all that much for the enamel to be ruined).
