Hello, Everyone!
I’m Ann and the (wee, adorable, silly-faced, cat-sized dogs) are Sebastian and Lilbit. It was early last summer when I started telling the Manbeast that I neeeeeeeeeded a puppy. He was quite dubious of this so-called “need”. However, said Manbeast can be won over in a variety of different ways. First, the seed had to be planted. Second, lots of research had to be done so I could spout puppy facts and insert them into even conversations that are not at all related to the topic at hand. Much to my eventual surprise, the Manbeast himself had been completely smitten with Yorkies for quite sometime. We agreed on something! The only catch was, he wanted each of us to get one. Two puppies? At the same time? Hmm…ok! I didn’t care about show quality, or a super tiny puppy. I wanted to find a reputable, loving breeder with healthy, well-cared for pups (and parents). I wanted a female, who I could cuddle endlessly, and dress up in the girliest, most ridiculous, outrageous outfits
I found lots of breeders. Some were spectacularly awful, some were just this side of passable, most were somewhere in the middle. One, I found exceptional and she just so happened to have 3 Yorkies that would be available in mid-January (it was early December and they were born October 5, 2006). One female, two males.
The female dog was adorable and sweet, but she didn’t really want much to do with me. And I was more than a little scared of her, she was SO tiny. I had visions of couch cushions devouring her, specks of dust falling on her and injuring her, etc. One of the males, however, greeted me immediately and remained by my side the entire time I was there. He even fell asleep lying ON my foot. Manbeast chose the other male and we brought them home with us a few weeks later (it seemed like forever!).

Lilbit is the Manbeast’s dog; he is the smaller one. Sebastian is my Squishy Little Baby Dog. I’m pretty sure that’s the last picture of them together and being sweet. Now they just play angry bitey faces at each other.
The picture of Sebastian is a few weeks old, but he still looks much the same. Lilbit is trickier to photograph, because someone told him that cameras eat baby dogs and he’s a bit dramalicious. Sebastian is more LOVEMELOVEMELOVEMENOW, please…ok?
Looking forward to learning lots here, because while the pups are doing fantastically well, their people still need LOTS of training…
