I noticed that Archie was doing very well, and once in a while, he'd just go somewhere he's totally not allowed to! I think that he was kinda testing out where he can go so I just keep saying no. Also, I'm not sure if this is a problem with Dolce, but it is with Archie...we have neighbors who have a dog (who by the way Archie married yesterday! We got a certificate and everything. They're jewish so I crocheted him a little yarmulke). The problem is that my neighbors let their dog pee on newspapers. Archie went on their hardwood floors and they didn't tell him no. Well, later on, I took Archie over to my mom's, he went on the part of her living room with hardwood floors. I have wood floors, as well, but mine are polished but my mom's and neighbors' are a darker color. Something, like association with the color or the floor might be telling Dolce it's ok to go there. When first training Archie, he'd go on the wee wee pad AND the bathroom floor which was white and the kitchen floor which was white. Then for a while, he'd go outside in the dirt, and on the brown part of a carpet we had, and a brown corduroy blanket. |
