I love the pic of him digging in the sand! How fun! We've taken Sukoshi to the piece of beach right across from Ghirardelli Square in San Fran, and although the sand was more packed down there, I'd say your Dunkuh could still get some digging in (he seems pretty determined), and it would be a much closer alternative for you.
