believe me when i say i was one of those people,too that had misconceptions about pit bulls,too. when my husband said that he was getting his first one i was so against it! i did not want it around my child because of the things i had heard. my little boy would go outside and this dog would take off when he saw him coming!! my son was just a toddler then and was so rough with him so he would run to go inside his dog house when he saw him coming out the door and would not come out as long as my son was in the yard. LOL and my son would go and try and crawl into the dog house with him! he could have torn his head off for invading his space but he never even growled at him. i was never worried about what the dog would do to my son - i was worried what my son would do to the dog!
